I took this picture of a king chess piece I borrowed from nephew Ryan to put on this post. Setting it on the arm of a chair in my room I was somewhat shocked when I loaded the picture. I'm not a photographer, and I'm sure there's an explanation why everything in the background from my bedroom disappeared. I haven't edited it, and this is exactly how it came out. Without getting weird with the picture from my little Cyber-shot camera, it just serves as another confirmation that God has something wonderful prepared for this weekend.
Wow, this weekend... I can't help but to be overwhelmed with anticipation as I sit here praying and reviewing notes for the Easter's message, "The King Always Has One More Move!"
To say I am excited for the first rounds of our Easter services tonight at Destiny (5pm and 7pm) is an understatement. No doubt we'll have a record
attendance - prayerfully the weather will hold and we can expect the
same tomorrow. But that's not what's has me so worked up. There's this indescribable anticipation in the air. One I wish I could put into words, but I can't think of even where to start.
Watching God get a hold of
people's lives and proving to them He's not done with them is more incredible than I can describe. Personally, I'm believing for more than 100 people to come to
Christ this weekend, and knowing God, He will exceed that. He always does! If for no other reason, to prove the King always has one more move!
Luke 20:38 "He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive.”
Follow up... OK, just for grins - I tried taking another picture of the chess piece to see if I could duplicate the first. All it did was make me smile as it reminded me that I told Renae I'd pick up all my junk before she got back from shopping with Jaymz.
Pastor Mike that pic is amazing! Not to mention how powerful the words you wrote are to me as a believer. We will be praying for an awesome weekend at Destiny and that many will give their lives to the "King."
